WHY ARJUN REDDY BECAME A MASSIVE SUCCESS❔

A CRITICAL ANALYSIS

                                      Is this film worthy to be called as an excellent artwork⁇. The reason of the massive success of this movie is anonymous. Some movies can create history with their excellent story and some are known for good presentation of the screenplay.I have to say that the directional skills of the director cannot be doubted as he presented the story as much realistic as he could .The actors were great in their roles;actually they were living as the character.The camera work was beautiful in every part of the plot,especially in the flashback scenes and towards the climax.The scenic beauty of the beaches ,college campus and the foreign country he travels were captured in a spectacular way. Everything was perfect .But still the whole plot arise some questions in our mind.That is why the movie was not acceptable to quite a few people.Thus I would like to analyze the movie in a critical point of view.

            Arjun ,in his own words ,is a rebel with a strong cause .But Iam afraid I could not found out anything rebellious in his actions.Do you think that spending the rest of your  life as a drunkard only because you had an unsuccessful relationship is cool! I honesty disagree with the idea. I don't know how a person can live such a life ,after all he is a doctor!!!

            I think Arjun was not faithful to his love. He is falling in love with a junior girl , Having physical relation with her and also keeps a count on that . The only thing he wanted after her departure was girls ,not lovers! I am pretty much sure that we would have called him a third rate man who runs  behind girls ,if he was not the HERO!!!

          The objectification of women is predominant through out the story . The way the movie portrays heroines is of no difference from the other movies. As we all know,the movie was a huge success and remade into Tamil and Hindi languages. In my opinion the reason behind the success was an extraordinary presentation of a poor below average story line.Music is a major contribution to the work. Of course it is a modern version of an age old story ,that is of Devdas. Whatever the hero does is justifiable and everything he says is accepted without a word. I am also a huge fan of this movie ,especially for the directional quality of 'Arjun Reddy'. I do not see much to worship the protagonist's view of  life and his lust for girls. I honestly feel pity about Preethi !

             Of course there is no room for any debate in the issue after years of the release of the movie.But whenever a hero is worshiped in a movie, remember  there is always a villain behind the mask of a hero ;no matter whether he is a doctor or a drunkard or both!
